Sleep Well. Live Better.
While snoring is a significant social problem, it often indicates a more serious risk to an individual's health and should not be ignored. Research now confirms that snoring is strongly associated with obstructive sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that occurs when a person stops breathing during sleep. If left untreated, sleep apnea can lead to serious health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and increased cancer risk.
We can help.
In partnership with a sleep physician, we can help you understand, screen and treat your snoring and/or sleep apnea. With the use of oral appliance therapy, we can provide you with a comfortable and easy to use treatment option for a more restful sleep.
What is Oral Appliance Therapy?
While there is no cure, snoring or sleep apnea can often be controlled with oral appliance therapy (OAT). An oral appliance is an effective, non-invasive treatment option for snoring and sleep apnea that fits easily into your lifestyle. An oral appliance looks like an orthodontic retainer and is worn only during sleep. It supports the jaw in a forward position to help keep your upper airway open, which prevents sleep apnea and snoring.
OAT can help you sleep better, have more energy, and feel sharper throughout the day. You may find that your bed partner begins to sleep better, too!
